*See our Yin Yoga Class as an alternative
A slower paced, foundational class is a perfect opportunity to explore sun salutations and basic postures with static holds, deep stretching and balancing poses to help develop your practice, form, alignment and breath work. Classes Structure: Warm-up Exercises, Standing Poses, Sitting Poses, Twists, Supine and Prone Poses, Inverted and Balance Poses, Gentle Chest Openers, Finishing Poses, Savasana with Aromatherapy All levels welcome.
Vinyasa’s strength is in its diversity...Every class slowly builds upon Basic Sun Salutations and progressively deepens with variations added one Salute at a time. Unique combinations of poses are arranged together with an alignment focus that enable an expansion in your practice. We often offer a challenge peak pose to work towards each month so attending successive classes will deepen and embolden your practice!
We begin with the Yin portion of our practice focusing on a release of connective tissues as we surrender into postures for longer periods of time to reach the deeper connective tissues of the joints, increasing the supply of fluids to them, making them less dense and enabling them to stretch appropriately. As a result, we become more flexible.
Find comfort and contentment as we perform a complex practice of PNF stretching then passively held floor based poses. Yin works deep into the connective tissues with long holds to reach deeper into the joints, increasing the supply of fluids to them, making them less dense and enabling them to stretch appropriately. Props available for a more relaxed comfort.
